Yoga for Fibromyalgia
Yoga can be very beneficial to sufferers of Fibromyalgia. The relaxing
and calming aspects of both body and the mind can help to realease the
tension and reduce pain. The stretching helps to relax the muscles while
the meditation helps to calm the mind. Some doctors theorize that Fibromylagia
has a large psychological component, which Yoga can help to address.

much more peaceful for the Fibromyalgia patient.
The Asana, or physical postures known in Hatha Yoga are effective at
stretching and relaxing the muscles throughout the body. The Pranayama,
or controlled breathing of Yoga helps to relax the body and the mind
and release the pain. Yoga, combined with more traditional exercise
can be a very effective treatment for long term Fibromylagia if done
on a daily and consistent basis.
